January 29th, 2026
Event Summary
150 Procurement Leaders. One Room. One Vision for the Future of Procurement.

On January 29, 2026, around 150 CPOs, procurement leaders and industry experts gathered in Berlin for Mercasphere 2026 to openly discuss the future of procurement. With leading voices from the industry such as Dr. Elouise Epstein, Marcell Vollmer, as well as representatives from BASF, GASAG, Goldbeck and many other companies, the central question was clear:

How procurement will scale in the age of AI.

On stage, Mercanis introduced a new vision for procurement for the very first time: the 10× Buyer, a new operating model in which AI agents and intelligent systems take over operational complexity and enable procurement teams to achieve exponentially greater strategic impact. The energy in the room was unmistakable: the discussion was no longer about whether AI will transform procurement, but how fast.

The Location

Fotografiska Berlin, located in the historic Tacheles building in Mitte, is a stage rich with history:

Built in 1908 as the Friedrichstrassenpassage and later used as the “House of Technology,” the building became a post-reunification icon of Berlin’s subculture as the Kunsthaus Tacheles.
Thanks to its protected status, traces of graffiti and street art remain visible to this day. This patina meets carefully restored architecture, soaring halls, striking sightlines, and historic staircases.

Today, the complex is home to Fotografiska Berlin, the contemporary photography museum from Stockholm, which moved in after an extensive renovation in September 2023. It also hosts a curated culinary experience with Restaurant Verōnika, Bar Verōnika, and Bar Clara, creating a raw yet elegant setting that stages brands, people, and stories in a truly remarkable way.
